Inspired by antique artwork that Beth purchased at auction, these 8x10” art prints are her whimsical interpretation of an ancient art form known as the arabesque. Arabesques originated in Asia and gained popularity during the European Renaissance. They typically feature highly ornamental designs that might include florals, ribbons, linear motifs and flourishes. These “Spring Arabesque” prints of Beth’s original hand-drawn artwork are printed locally in Oxford, MS on 100 lb linen paper. The off-white color and delicate texture of the paper lend an antique feel which echoes the history of the arabesque art form. The two designs of the “Spring Arabesque” are sold together as a pair - one features ducklings and one features a bunny. Beth imagines these framed as a pair in an entryway, a nursery or anywhere you want to be reminded of the beauty of spring all year-round!
